Surrounded by the cevenols greenhouses, the village of Jaujac, labeled "village of character", is nestled between the youngest  volcano of Ardèche and long flows basaltic classified by  UNESCO World Geopark. It arouses curiosity by the presence of several castles and fortified houses as well as its beauty unique of its geosites.

This 16 km route begins at the foot of the house of Parc naturel régional des Monts d'Ardèche. It use the trails around the furiginous spring water of peschier then crosses the commune of Fabras, located at 450 meters of altitude between the valley of the ardèche and the Lignon river small village with cevenol charm, rocked by the murmuring of the river, bordered by the flows Basaltic.

Part of the route goes up the river Lignon and crosses it by the Pont de L'Echelette.
