Qualiou Ranc, the giant’s dyke

Follow the trail runners pathway with the loop of the Qualiou ranc. It is one of the trail’s route of the giant’s dyke. The pathways of pozzolana shows the slope of the Gravenne, a volcanoe of forty thousand years old. Then you can dive in the Ardèche river and discover the basalt flows and the Devil’s bridge remarkable site.
Departure from Thueyts remarkable village. Follow the permanent blue signs of the Trail and go for a beautiful hiking day.

The route is signed with some brochures on wooden pannels. The markings can only be seen in the running directon.

Access and parking

From Aubenas take the Puy en Velay direction and continue the N102 to Thueyts village.
